Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

(John 14:1-2)

Jesus was comforting His apostles the night before He was to be crucified, by proclaiming what God was preparing for their future life beyond planet Earth. All those who would be part of God’s Kingdom on earth by repenting of their sins and fully trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, one day will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven! “When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will separate them, one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father; inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” (Matthew 25:31-34)

HELL IS ALSO REAL! “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.” “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” “Then He will say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” (Matthew 7:21, 23 25:41)

The Bible teaches of an “eternity” that we each will partake in – whether in eternal bliss in the presence of God, who created us – or in eternal punishment, where all unbelievers will be banished. When God created us in His image, our spirit/soul was created immortal. Our bodies decay in death, but one day, when Earth comes to an end, these bodies will be changed to embrace eternity. At death we read of the separation of body and spirit: “Then the dust (bodies) will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God, who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

The Good News concerning God’s salvation is offered to each individual who, in turn, will be held accountable to accept God’s offer of pardon through His Son – or to reject Jesus Christ. “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)
